Punch Tools for Hollow Profiles

General

In order to punch perforations in a hollow profile, there must be an internal support along it.
Otherwise, the profile will distort as a result of the punch.

On our manual punch tools, the hollow profile is supported by a suitable inner die.
The inner die is permanently adjusted to a 1-2m long mandrel, for the profile to be threaded through before each punching.
Using this mandrel, perfect punch results can be achieved anywhere along the profile – up to 2m away from its edges.

Our manual punch tool is versatile – It may include more than one set of mandrel & inner die to accommodate different types of profiles.
The mandrels are changeable, and can be replaced rapidly for punching different types of profiles on the same machine.

If the geometry allows it, the profile can be punched without an inner die during the punching process:
Using a unique cutting technology, some of our special designed tools are able to punch a hollow profile with no die inside.
Naturally, since no mandrels are involved, the work is much easier and faster this way.

Use

There are various types of manual presses that are designated for hollow profiles:
Usually used for perforating holes of locks and handles which are located away from the profiles edges.
